rings? who cares about the rings. Are you saying Fisher is a better point than CP3? Are you saying Ariza is better than Lebron? Kobe IS better, but not because of the rings. Because honestly, how many rings would he have w/o Shaq.. i say 1. Even this year, Lakers team was much more talented & deep than Cleveland.

Look at it this way.
Shaq was dominant? How? Because he was big in the lane. Period. No other skills.
LeBron. He's the MVP. Why is he so good? His size and athleticism. His skill level is not even close to Kobe's. Sure, people will argue his passing is good... but seriously, watch his passes again. They're not even that great. It's just because he is "LeBron."
Kobe's game started on his explosiveness and athleticism. Now he is all skill. Ask any real basketball analyst, Kobe is the most graceful player to watch. His ability to split the defenders. Drop the 3 in your face. Post up. Fadeaway. Double pump. Reverse jam. Defensive intensity. Kobe's offensive arsenal is godly.
Remember the Nuggets? Move over Ariza and Fisher, I'll guard Chauncey Billups and Carmelo Anthony.
Remember Mickael Pietrus owning the Cleveland Cavaliers? Kobe shut him down. Kobe shut Courtney Lee down.
Lebron is not graceful at all. He's just a big train running at you. Like Shaq. Move out the way. Lebron is only 24 so there's still a long ways to go. But sooner or later, he will have to develop the skill level because his athleticism will eventually go away.
Also Lebron has a lot of growing up to do. Seriously "I don't shake hands when I lose because I'm a competitor?" That sh!t doesn't fly. If I recall, he shook the San Antonio Spurs hands when they swept his a$$ in the Finals. He's just mad because he didn't get to win the trophy over Kobe.
"Oh I got dunked on, Nike go confiscate all the tapes"... 'nuff said. Grow up Lebron.

Ok throwing out the rings (since i agree rings dont determine how good a player is)
Has wade ever even come close to scoring 80 points in a single game? Can wade make the same shots that kobe makes? A defenders hand in his face and still makes a 3 point shot with ease? I dont think so

Lol u must be on drugs. Yes he won the scoring title last year for the 1st time. if you want to use that as your reasoning, Kobe won it 2 or 3 times.

07-29-2009, 07:28 PM
Johnnnnnny!
Way to get it started, man.
Ok, I guess I'll weigh in. Kobe is by far the best player in the league based on the fact that he can score more easily than anyone else. Period. While LeBron, Wade, and many others can score a great deal of points, no one here really believes that anyone else is even close to an 80-point game, correct? And yes, that is not an every game occurance. But don't discount it as if it was done on the Washington Generals, or something. Furthermore, Kobe is the best one-on-one defender in the game. And even the most ardent LB23 fan has to admit that him being considered for Defensive Player of the Year was more nonsense than the Birther movement.
However, I would say that Wade is the best competitor. Kobe, for all his gifts, does something that Jordan never did... let other teams take him out of the game. Jordan would never have allowed another team to dictate whether or not he was any good. And, prior to this year's championship, Kobe was on a bit of a roll with that one. He let Boston diminish his play, and he might as well havenot even shown up, for all he did against Detroit in the finals. Wade, like Jordan, will get his, even if the team loses. And, unlike some other people, "his" includes not only points, but assists/blocks/steals as well. LeBron...
Not even close to being the competitor they are. *see also "We lost, so screw shaking anyone's hand."
And Wade a #3 or #4? Seriously? It's got to be, hands down:
1. Kobe
2. Wade
3., 4., 5. TBD
I have never understood how LeBron became so much more hyped than Wade. And it's not just the sponsors, so-called sports analysts fall into that trap as well. What has LeBron ever done that is better than anything Wade has done?
Wade took a Miami team that had NO ONE on it into the playoffs as a rookie (before Shaq).
Before getting hurt in the conference finals, Wade led the Heat to a 3-1 lead over Detroit. He got hurt in game 5 (3-2), missed game 6 (3-3) and then tried to play hurt in game 7. But, save for that, Detroit was gone in 5 games, and Miami went to the finals that year.
He was the Finals MVP the following year.
And then, despite this, LeBron was the Touted played on the Olympics team that embarrassed the US. Due, in no small part, to the fact that the coach's go-to player, LeBron, couldn't shoot his way out of a wet paper bag. And, even though it was LeBron who was, once again, touted in this past Olympics, it was KB24, and Wade's 28 points in the gold-medal game that brought us the gold. Not, I repeat, Not Lebron.
So, in summation...
Kobe is #1. I'll concede that. But Wade is so much better than Lebron that it's not even funny.
By the way, as an illustration to my point, look at the reactions of Kobe and LeBron after hitting game-winning 3's in this year's conference finals...
LeBron - "Oh my God! I did it! *jumps up and down, and runs to temamates to look like "Yeah, I'm the man!"
Kobe - *tightens lip, and calmly walks away, like... "Of course".

You have a point when you say kobe is the better of the two at this point, but Kobe is a 13 year vet. Wade is a 6 year vet. If you compare kobe's 1st 6 years to Wade's you would see Wade is better in EVERY category! This dominance will continue as Wade is just beginning to peak! Which is why I said I'll take Wade right now for my team!
Lebron is over hyped PERIOD! Wade had more Blks and steals yet Lebron comes in second for defensive player of the year??????????????RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!

Shaq has no skills. LeBron is mostly size and athleticism.
Prove me wrong.
Shaq can shoot free throws? No. How hard is a free throw? Even I, someone who doesn't get paid $20 million can shoot free throws in clutch game situations (I have in my life).
He just uses his size to push and get position.
LeBron is well... you can see by yourself.

XD88...
I have a question. Would you consider Tim Duncan, Dikembe Mutombo, or Dwight Howard skillful centers? (I know Duncan's technically a Forward. But, c'mon, he plays the center position)
I ask because none of these players could shoot higher than 60+ percent from the free throw line. I understand that there are centers who can, and have. But your argument that Shaq has no skills is that he couldn't/can't hit a free throw. That being said, does that mean the players I mentioned are also skill-less players?
Career Free Throw %
Tim Duncan 68%
Dikembe Mutombo 68%
Dwight Howard 60%
And if you discount the above by saying that Duncan (arguably the best of the above mentioned) did so many other things, then consider the following...
Shaq has averaged more minutes, points, and just as many rebounds and steals per game as Duncan. They have the same number of blocks per game.
So again, I ask, does this mean that he (Duncan) is also a skill-less player?
Thank you for your time.

I said Shaq.
But Duncan can shoot. And very well.
When you are 7' tall. You are expected to score, rebound, and block. That is expected coming into the league.
I guess I should take back that shaq has no skills. He can dance. He can also pass the ball.
But that doesn't change my point that Kobe is the most skilled player. It's not just about shooting. It's about execution. The hop step, the power dribble/pull up jumper, the spin moves, the pump fakes, etc. etc... Anyone can do all of that but Kobe does it to perfection.
Sure shaq can do a spin move 2 feet under the basket and dunk the ball. That is expected of any 7ft 320lb player.
But is every shooting guard supposed to be able to take the inbounds pass, few dribbles, pump fake, do a turnaround fadeaway 3 and drain it, nothing but net? Send the game to overtime? All this with a defender draped on you? That is skill.
Then how about catching the ball with under 2 seconds, turn around fadeaway, arching jumper, to win the Pacific Division?
Yes, this is back in 2004, I believe against the Portland Trailblazers. Last game of the season. Pacific Division on the line.
This is the kind of stuff that takes skill. For some players, it's luck. But kobe has proven time and time again, he is clutch.
Think of it like this. Dirk Nowitzki, 7ft. Good 3-point shooter. Turnaround fadeaway jumper.. Skills...
Rashard Lewis against cleveland, turnaround fadeaway 3... skill and the dude is 6'11"...
You have to give credit where it is due.
Big time players making unbelievable shots = credit
Catching the ball 2 ft in the post when you outweigh your defender by 60 lbs... no credit.
Kienz
07-30-2009, 05:24 AM
So... by your logic... ANY center who is over 7' tall should be able to do what Shaq has done, correct?
And don't mention Dirk in the same breath as Shaq, please. Can he shoot? Yes. But his post game is trash, and his defense is nonexistent. And where, pray tell, were these "skills" when the *cough* League MVP got trounced out of the playoffs in the first round by Golden State?
Is Shaq comparable to any shooting guard out there? Of course not. But if you know so much about basketball, then please enlighten us...
Where, primarily, is the center on the team SUPPOSED to score his points?
At the top of the key? On the perimeter? In the high post? Or is it in the Low Post?
And please don't tell me you seriously believe that every shot Shaq took was 2 feet away from the basket. I mean, seriously. Exageration is one thing, but that's just cool, refreshing haterade.

LoL. Don't quit on me, X. Shaq has been in a position for me to have a decent debate with anyone about him in years. I need the mental stimulation.
Seriously, though, good talk. I always enjoy a spirited debate over sports. And, until football preseason starts back up, debate is all I have.
Holla back.
I feel you. But from the countless debates I've had over the years. It is very hard to 'own' someone over the internet as they will keep firing back so I just try and stop debating all together.
Unless, of course, it is about a online game and who's better... well I could play them 1on1 and settle that.
These sport debates tend to be much funner in person than over the 'net.
But yeah, your points are valid, unlike some.... *cough*RDillz*cough* saying Wade is the best and posting a video of him scoring 35 points LOL

RDillz, why I agree with you that Wade is a exceptional player. the stats you point out are misleading and don't tell the whole picture.
One very important fact everyone must remember is that Kobe's first 4 years were basically his college years. He was drafted at 17 and turned 18 just before the season began. Kobe's first 3 1/2 years were terrible learning years. He had to gain all his experience against much tougher seasoned athletes. The Lakers were building the team around Shaq not Kobe, While Miami built the team around Wade. Which also led to more starts and minutes played by Wade in his first years.
Anyone one can point to certain stats and a couple of particuliar videos that show outstanding play, But unless all contributing factors are included, then the stats are very misleading.
Would Kobe have had a better start in the NBA if he had gone to college, Maybe?
Would Wade have done as good his first years if he was as young as Kobe and had to gain his experience against better players, Maybe?
All I know is if I had to chose a player right now to build a team around it would be Kobe. Kobe's natural ability and work ethic are far superior to any other. Kobe got the work ethic from watching MJ and now Lebron and Wade are realizing the payoff too.
Also, a video of Wade dropping 35 on Kobe in a game proves nothing. Hell, I seen Kobe drop 50+ on Jordan, but I would never say he owns him.

Let me put it like this, Wade has dominated at every level! H.S., college, & now the NBA. No waiting to learn how to play the game. There was a reason Kobe's minutes were low those early few years. He was terrible! Make what ever excuse you want! But Lebron & Carmello's numbers were excellent as really young players. These are just the facts!
@Techboi
That's my point. If we can clearly see he outplayed everyone last season (meaning NOW) & hes not even mentioned as mvp or defensive player of the year is a shame. He led every 2 guard, including Kobe, in every major statistical category. So yeah I gotta say hes the best now!

I don't what your smoking, but I sure hope your selling it because it must be good. HA! HA! HA!
Ok, lets compare high school stats, since your so big on them.
Wade sucked his first 2 years in high school. Wade attended Harold L. Richards High School (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_L._Richards_High_School) in Oak Lawn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oak_Lawn,_Illinois), playing for the school's varsity basketball team.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-DJoseph-2) While he did not accrue much playing time during his sophomore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophomore) year, his stepbrother, Demetris McDaniel, was the star of the team.[7] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-askmen-6) Wade grew four inches in the summer before his junior (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Student) year and saw an increase in playing time, averaging 20.7 points (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_(basketball)) and 7.6 rebounds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebound_(basketball)) per game.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-MQbio-7) The following year, Wade averaged 27.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while leading his team to a 24–5 record.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-MQbio-7) It advanced to the title game of the Class AA Eisenhower Sectional.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-MQbio-7) During this season he set school records for points (676) and steals (106) in a season.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwyane_Wade#cite_note-MQbio-7)
Wade was recruited (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recruiting_(athletics)) by only three college basketball teams (Marquette University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquette_University), Illinois State (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illinois_State_Redbirds), and DePaul University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DePaul_University)) due to academic problems.
Kobe Bryant earned national recognition during a spectacular high school career at Lower Merion High School (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower_Merion_High_School) located in the Philadelphia suburb of Lower Merion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower_Merion_Township,_Pennsylvania). His father coached him his sophomore (second) year of high school. At Adidas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adidas) ABCD camp, Bryant earned the 1995 senior MVP award,[14] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-13) while playing alongside future NBA teammate Lamar Odom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamar_Odom).[15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-14) While in high school, then 76ers coach John Lucas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lucas_II) invited Bryant to workout and scrimmage with the team, where he played one-on-one with Jerry Stackhouse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Stackhouse).[16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-15) In his senior year of high school, Bryant led the Aces to their first state championship in 53 years. During the run, he averaged 30.8 points, 12 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 4.0 steals, and 3.8 blocked shots in leading the Aces to a 31–3 record.[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-HighSchool-16) He ended his career as Southeastern Pennsylvania (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southeastern_Pennsylvania)'s all-time leading scorer at 2,883 points, surpassing Wilt Chamberlain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_Chamberlain) and Lionel Simmons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Simmons).[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-17) Bryant received several awards for his performance his senior year including being named Naismith High School Player of the Year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naismith_Prep_Player_of_the_Year_Award), Gatorade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatorade) Men's National Basketball Player of the Year, a McDonald's All-American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald%27s_All-American_Team), and a USA Today (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_Today) All-USA First Team player.[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-18) Bryant's varsity coach, Greg Downer, commented that Bryant was "a complete player who dominates".[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-HighSchool-16) In 1996, Bryant took R&B (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_and_blues) singer Brandy Norwood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandy_Norwood) to his senior prom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senior_prom),[20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-19) though the two were/are just friends. His SAT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAT) score of 1080[21] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant#cite_note-20) would have ensured his basketball scholarship to various top-tier colleges. Ultimately, however, the 17-year-old Bryant made the decision to go directly into the NBA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_high_school_draftees). Bryant's news was met with a lot of publicity at a time when prep-to-pro (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prep-to-pro) NBA players wasn't very common (Kevin Garnett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Garnett) being the only exception in 20 years). Bryant has stated that had he decided to go to college after high school, he would have attended Duke University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_University).
Ok, now that we can see who has the better high school stats. Like I said you can't say that Wade was a better college player because Kobe didn't play. But I would say that if he did go to college he would have had an exceptional outcome.
No use comparing the NBA stats. Your argument about the NBA doesn't hold water, because in Wades first years he played more minutes, had more shot attempts, more free throw attempts. Wade was the "go to guy" for Miami, Shaq was the man for the Lakers. We don't know if given the chance, Kobe would have had better numbers if he was given the main role.
Remember, PUFF PUFF PASS! LOL! PEACE OUT!

I am convinced that you are either crazy or just so obssessed with Wade that you cant even see that you make no sense. The best player in the game does not ride soley on who has the best numbers or most points. Allen Iverson had the best numbers for like 3 years straight at one point and I ensure you no one would even consider him being the best player in any of those years. Hell Tracey McGrady even won the scoring title twice.
Please just stop talking your making yourself look bad, maybe if Wade does wind up back in Chicago, you can return his jock strap.

RDillz, I'm sitting here trying to find the words to explain to you how ignorant you are, and I mean that in a kind way.
You claim that Wade had a better HS career than Kobe, but when I show you the facts that Wades first 2 years of high school sucked, while Kobes first 2 years were exceptional. Wade finally had a decent junior year in high school after he had grown and was able to compete more with the bigger players, Kobe was still kicking ass his junior year. I'm not saying Wade didn't have a better senior year in high school, but your argument is that you say he had a better senior year than Kobe. Which is flat wrong, the stats (if you read them) prove it. So once again, yes Wade dominated his senior year in high school, but Kobe had a much better senior year, better point avg, better record, etc.
Now for your claim that Wade is the best now in the NBA. Wade has much weaker team mates so he must do a lot more. Kobe had better numbers than Wade when he was doing everything by himself also. Kobes numbers are much lower this year because he has Gasol, Lamar and a better team to finally help him. Wade has nobody, he has to do it all himself. One other big factor you forget to mention is that Wade plays in a much weaker Eastern conference, that means that half his games are played against sub .500% teams. While Kobe plays against stronger teams more often. So this means that Wade had better numbers while playing a lot more weaker teams.
I'm probably wasting my time pointing out these facts to you, because it seems like your a Wade fanboy and can't be told anything different. So go on believing that Wade is better than Kobe based on one year of better stats, while losing in the first round of the playoffs against a weaker Atlanta team. Based on that I'm sure you believe that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Leprechauns are real too.
NOW THIS DEBATE IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3) All of my posts did not mention weed or jockstraps, once again get your facts striaght.
4) You are still failing to understand basketball regardless of how much you claim to watch/know all about the sport. You have thrown out numbers supporting that Wade is a great player. Yes he is a great player, I have never denied that. I agree that he is a great player but he is not the best player currently in the game.
You want to talk about points:
Kobe has had the most points in a season 3 times compared to Wades 1. In one of those seasons Kobe scored 2832 points compared to Wades 2386 and he could do it again if he needed to but he doesnt.
Yes Wade scored the most points last season but he also played more minutes than any of the other players discussed in this topic.
Wade also averaged the second most turnovers.
Wade shot 76% free throw percentage (terrible for a guard) compared to Kobe's 86%.
Anyway I can go on and on. But where Im from..championships trump points, blocks, rebounds etc. any day. The fact remains that he can score all the points he wants but he better start winning championships in Miami or wherever he goes next or he will find himself out the door, just ask Iverson.

Ask 100 people.
How would they remember the 2008-09 season 5, 10, 15 years down the line?
Rank the moments.
-LAKERS 2009 nba champs
-Lebron no shaking hands
-KG out, celtics lose
-Yao Ming/T-mac out for playoffs again
-Rockets takes Lakers to 7 games
-Lebron's 3 to beat magic
-Devin's harris 3 pt half-court winner against the 6ers
-D-Wade's season
-Celtics - Bulls 7 game series.
Not to be a [butt]hole, but I can almost gaurantee, D-wade's season will rank lower than stuff like Lebron's dunkgate, Harris's 3... pretty much in the bottom 2, when u ask 100 people.
Sure, YOU (RDILLZ) will remember it, but no one else will. Maybe if Wade had gotten out of the 1st round and played the cavs...

Ok boys, be nice and make up you are arguing over multimillion dollar sports stars... in other words entertainers. No need for ANYONE to make rude comments to or about anyone else. I will close this thread and ask to change the rules to include no sports, religious or political talk if the name calling continues.
Trust me I don't want to do that, I like sports, but the name calling has to stop.
I'm going to repeat myself, in case not everyone noticed this. Thank you techboi for acknowledging my post.
For the record I have no problem with basketball discussion, and you all can continue to talk it, just leave out the personal stuff about other users....
Hopefully that is all that needs to be said.

My posts do not resort to name-calling.
Unless it was calling myself a [butt]hole. Then yes, I am guilty.

Mine didn't either. I just present the facts! Like.....
Because of his team’s lack of experience (and talent of any kind at the center position),* Wade has had to fight for everything he’s gotten this season. 7.5 assists on a young team means he is really setting them up in good situations to score. 30.2 points on a young team implies that even while being the complete focus of a defense, he is still able to get what he wants and dictate the game to the other team. Maybe 30 and 7.5 isn’t much when Shaq’s in the middle, but it sure as heck is when the O’Nea in the post is a mummified Jermaine instead. Sorry Kobe, your twin tower duo of Gasol and Bynum definitely take you out of this one. You’re the focus but not the ONLY focus.

Oh yeah and...
Some people may say, “What’s the difference between DWade this year and Kobe not getting the MVP award in ’06 and ’07?” Well I’ll tell you my opinion. Although Kobe carried his team in those ow-to-mid 40 win seasons, he also LOST his teams some games in those seasons, by jacking up shots and sometimes taking his team out of the game This season, DWade has 7 games in which he took 30 shots or more. Conversely, he has 12 games in which he scored more than 40 points, and his team went 9-3 in those games. This means that in even his highest scoring games, Dwyane was playing efficient, under-control basketball. Kobe had a combined 27 thirty-shot games in ’06 and ’07. And while some of his biggest efforts came in wins some of his worst efforts more than cemented osses for his young team. Kobe in those seasons struggled to find the balance in being an elite scorer and leading a young team to victory— balance Wade has mastered this season.

Four rings.
RDILLZ
08-11-2009, 05:35 PM
Wade has a ring, but this is about the best individual performer. You can't hide behind the rings. In 88 Jordan had no rings but if you had an ounce of basketball sense you knew he was the best.
xdavidn88
08-11-2009, 05:36 PM
Kobe doesn't have to hide behind the rings. He is the best of his era.
Also, basketball is a team sport. Not a individual performance. The goal is to win a championship.
Not the MVP, or triple doubles, or lead the league in scoring.
Anything else is a failure.
Then again, if you had any basketball sense, you would know that.

LeBron is my favorite basketball player, but I know he is not the best in the NBA... yet. It is true that Kobe has more skill and experience than LeBron has. However, I do think in time LeBron will surpass Kobe. In my opinion LeBron is better than Kobe was at the same age. Sure Kobe may have had more skill, but LeBron is way stronger and a little faster. All he needs is to gain more experience and learn how to make better decisions and he will be the best.

Derrick, good points.
Of course he is faster and stronger than Kobe is now. Kobe is almost 31. Entering his 14th season in the NBA.
But like any player that ages, i.e. Kobe, Jordan, Vince, T-Mac, your speed and athletic ability goes downhill. They lose that 'pep' in their step.
At the rate LeBron is going, his stats will easily be better than Kobe's. The question is, can LeBron sustain it? Can he do it for 10 years? Can he do it for 15? Can he do it for 20?
Also can LeBron win the rings. We all know LeBron will bring the stats. Just look at his shirts. But will LeBron get 4, 5, or 6 rings?
I personally do not believe so. It's hard to win a championship. Just because Kobe is aging, sure LeBron will take the throne but that is expected. LeBron will have to deal with the likes of Wade, Howard, Durant, Rose, [insert incoming nba stars] for years to come.
It'll only get harder from here.

Perfect example would be the Boston Celtics. They looked very good last year. Like a dynasty in the making. The big 3. Defensive intensity.
It was only a one year thing. The big 3 are getting up there in age. Danny Ainge knows it. Why else would he want to trade Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo away this summer.
Derrick

Yes the test will be if he can sustain it for another 10+ years like Kobe did. However I think the ring argument is unfair. LeBron doesn't really have much help at all. I mean in the playoffs when they were playing the Magic he scored 40 points one game and they still lost. What the hell is that?
xdavidn88
08-18-2009, 03:08 PM
It's not all about how much he scores. I do agree that his teammates did not step it.
Kind of remind me in the previous years of Kobe and the Lakers [pre-gasol].
Kobe puts up shots, scores 40, loses = Kobe's labeled a ballhog
Kobe puts up little shots, scores 20, loses = Kobe's a bad leader
You can't win with the critics.
