So I just got my 16GB Sandisk MicroSD Class 2 in the mail yesterday. I'm starting to think i might have been better off with a Class 4/6 8 Gig. But I wanted the max memory right off the bat! I don't want to be flipping around cards, especially if apps are saved to them. On the flip side, if apps are saved to them, i want max speed!
What's everyone's opinion on this?
I paid $99 +shipping.

To be honest, if you are just the memory for apps, I think 8 gigs would be more than adequate. Unless we start getting huge apps (and I think the biggest will end up being games, though I will probably be proven wrong), and by huge I mean 50 MB+, then even a gig or two will suffice.
From personal experience with all mobile devices that use removable memory, high-end read/write speeds only come into effect with larger amounts of data, and when putting data on the card. A class 2 means you have a minimum of 2mb/s being read.
I'm not claiming to be an expert, so don't quote me, but the worst that will happen is slower speeds when applications access the card, which might mean longer loading times, but for most applications, you have nothing to worry about :D
Hopefully I'm somewhat accurate, but please, someone verify/correct what I've written
Edit: Apparently people have reported that a class 2 gives them choppiness when recording audio and video on their phones. I didn't find anything about app performances though. I still believe that the worst that will happen will be longer loading times and some choppiness.

To be honest, i would of went with a Class 4 Sandisk 8gb microSDHC, maxprice = $25 bucks including shipping online... newegg.com or ebay.com , i go with ebay since i have an account. get two class4 8gb's if you want. still cheaper than what you paid for.
oh well.

You decide, but for me this is no brainer:
To "fill-up" 8GB Class 4, takes ~ 24 minutes = $20
To "fill-up" 8GB Class 6, takes ~ 22.5 minutes = $35
To "fill-up" 16GB Class 2, takes~ 136 minutes = $100
PS. Question remains of how often you will need to "fill-up 8 GB on a mobile device :)
Besides that, currently lots of reviews state and claim that Class 6 is not yet noticed on mobile devices such as cell phones. Class 6 is being utilized more on digital camera's and multimedia card readers. Same goes for Class 8 ... I do not know how true that is, but take it as un-confirmed information.
