We All Know That AT&T Has Was Better Coverage For 3G Than T-Mobile, But I Had No Idea That It Was This Much Of A Difference!

The First Thumbnail Is Where My Dad Live's, Its Funny How Where T-Mobile Has 3G AT&T Doesn't .! lol

The 2nd Thumbnail Is Like The America Map Of 3G.

Not to be technical
But, Notice how the legend for the AT&T is blue and light blue. Technical AT&T has no coverage just a bunch of orange on the map. :p

I actually think T-mobile has the largest 3g network for the time they have been running it. They are expanding pretty quick. Give it 6months

Im Going to try to find the Map Of When Att Cam Out With 3g Youll See how Good it was.

Yea I agree in like a Year Maybe Theyll Be Great, but i think they should have planed things out better loll.

PEOPLE! Don't Get Me Wrong. I Love T-Mobile, I Think its Way Better Than At&t.

But Be Real, Right Now 3G sucks for it be coming out with (what i think) One of there Biggest phone's.

I Wouldnt Consider them Large In Anyway for 3G, Look At this Map, I Circles what YOu Can See of 3g, Edge Is the rest.

And if you even Compare Edge From at&t to Tmobile, at&t Still Win's.. ughh, ! lol, T-Mobile Should Steal Tower's from At&t!!! lol

I think t-Mobile Should Have Waited Untill They Had More Coverage.

considering they have more than 70 percent of their subscribers covered under 3g, i don't see how their coverage lack... they've been working a year and half to install hardware and upgrade their towers in order to do this, so just cause some of you may lack 3g service now doesn't mean they didn't try hard

..
T-Mobile Started off With 20 3G Cities,
And Hopes to Have 7 More by the end of the year.

Hopefully tmobile will add 27 cities every year, and not 7 every Half year! lol

FWIW I was using the G1 yesterday on full bars 3G here in chicago, and let me say that it is so much quicker than edge. I don't think I had to wait more than 30 seconds for the sites to load up. I tried doing some websites that drag on my PIE using my tilt like...mlgpro.com, bungie.net (yea im a gamer) and they loaded up pretty quick. So I guess if you live in a 3g area right now you won't have anything to complain about. If you don't, then I'm sure in due time you'll be able to experience the awesomeness as well!:D

Well they gotta start somewhere, I think with the g1 phone EXPLODING they will rapidly expand there 3g and come out with more 3G phones. I say look out ATT- Tmobiles Catching up!!!!

OK Uga, keep what I'm about to say in perceptive to the G1 launch.

When the iPhone came out it was EDGE not 3G they are now on there second iPhone which now has 3G. It took 1 Year for this switch.

The G1 is T-Mobile's first "iPhone" I guess you could say and its launching WITH 3G, unlike the iPhone.

Comparing the First Generation G1 and Second Generation iPhone is not smart because Apple had a year to work out bugs.

So comparing AT&T's 3G network to T-Mobile's is also in my opinion also unwise.

Don't be so critical in comparisons without also taking into account the differences in both time and circumstances.

If you Wan't To Take account the time and circumstances.

T-Mobile had Alot Of time To Get the 3G Up.

And The G1 Had the time to fix the error's of the iphone, and i think it did it well. lol..

But T-mobile Had nothing really comparing to the iphone for the last year or two, that's why i say , when the launch of the G1 came out it should have been ready to Overpass Anything Iphone had out.

And when the iphone came it, there was already 3G available, it was the phone that was doing bad, not the company..

Btw, My favorite Company Is TMOBILE ! lol.
Im not really trying to go against them lol

I know everyone is going to fend with the G1,
I would too

All Im Saying Is that Tmobile Should Have Put At Little more work On there 3G before they Fully Advertised a 3G Powered Phone

I Understand it will it get better people, i never said it wouldnt!
And i took in concideration both circumstances, Att Had alot more 3G before they fully advertised the Iphone3G, i know they had more time..!! And before that, if you concider when Att Anounced there 3g, They Still had more coverage than what tmobile currently has!

Uga - we understand your concern which you have explained very well. I may say I would have same thoughts as well, but being for so long with T-Mobile I have seen rapid improvement in consumer services provided by them, network expansion, prices, etc. I do not think T-Mobile will drag 3G network expansion for too long. They are well aware of the ATT as the competition which they will compete with. As someone stated give Tmobile 6 months and then compare.

Besides all of that, I am not very familiar of the requirements that one carried deals with when it comes to opening 3G network or any expansion in general speaking. We definitely do not know if T-Mobile planned this for the last 3 years or more. Circumstances of T-Mobile not having 3G so far are I believe reasonable.

I hope this clarified at least part of the concern :) ... Anyway, moving forward I believe we will not regret our decision to go with T-Mobile vs ATT :) 3G network wise.

I think another fact that people seem to be forgetting is while Tmobile started 3g later, they were also delayed http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=2419

Also, it seems to me that the reason why that tmobile has been putting out low range phones recently is because they were probably focusing on getting their 3G network up so that they can put up the great phones.

I mean tmobile is probably considered the 4th highest network compared to the other ones. And I've been a loyal customer since it was voicestream. But you have to be considerate in understanding that it possible that it doesn't have as many resources as the other 3.

Yea it sucks that 3g isn't out everywhere yet. But what are you going to do. I'd rather have a phone capable of 3G now, then get a phone without before 3g is completely rolled out

T-Mobile + G1 = Love

Well, this is not an issue for me. I live in New York City. There is supposedly 100% coverage for the places where I spend 99% of my time.

Now, when I visit my parents in Missouri, that's another problem, but I've always had poor cellular service there no matter who my carrier is.

Not a problem for me either, plus gotta keep in mind T-Mo just launched their 3G coverage and have read their are working hard to get their 3G launched nationwide. Plus from the vids i've seen and the reviews read it seems to do OK thru EDGE.

We don't even have tmobile 3G anywhere in Utah but it's ok...they just barely started launching their 3g network so it'll get here soon.

PS: I'm glad tmobile are finally starting to offer kick-ass phones again...for a while there the phones they had were kind of boring. But I've been with them for 10 years that I cant bear to switch carriers! Yayyy for tmobile!
