Well I missed pre-order date and I decided I'm going to go to the store a little early to make sure I get mine...

I don't think there will be a line outside the store and I already went to see if I can guarantee mine and I think they put me on the list.

quick question for all: Is it limited to one per customer, cause I'm thinkin about picking up 5.

last but not least..How many other people are showing up a little early? maybe the night before?

(just realized I posted it in the wrong section too..sorry?)

I have school that morning, but I'm going to call a few days in advance and see if my store is expecting a line and how many phones they are getting (they aren't making a waiting list). Since im in a relatively small town, I think I should be ale to just stop in at about 8:45 wait till 9:00 and pick up my phone.

I don't know what I'm going to do. I got on some list at my local T-Mobile store but they didn't make it clear whether it was just a "we're gonna call you back to let you know exactly when we're gonna start selling them" or "we're gonna call you back to hold one for you."

When I signed up on it the lady said they were going to call back to make sure I still wanted one. Maybe they need to know that to hold one for me? I hope?

If not, I might camp out the night before depending on if there's a line when I get off work on Tuesday.

Another thing is that this store is inside a mall. I wonder if they would open the mall for a midnight release or wait till Wednesday morning to sell them. Anyone know what is typically done is this situation?

Whatever, I LOVE camping out for stuff. It's fun in my opinion. Good conversations and people you meet etc. It's like a social meet up for G1 but in a awkward time of night haha.

Well, I live outside of 3G coverage, so I wouldn't be able to camp out even if I wanted to... But then again, I wouldn't want to, when I could just pre-order, thank God.

I live in a 3g zone so :) Thank God I don't live in a rural area. And I scold TMOBILE for being late on getting their 3g network up. But better late that never

i live in a 3g zone.. my entire area (the entire san francisco bay area) is drowning in 3G, and best believe i will be camping out to get mine. but i definitely wont be there to be meet friends.. lol im rather grumpy in the morning because i dont do mornings, but the G1 is worth it.

I pre-ordered and glad I did because the local tmo store here told me they won't be carrying it since we are not in a 3G network.

I'll be at the highest volume retailer in San Diego County at 7am rallying on the crowd as T-Mobile is throwing a nice big launch event outside the store for eveyone of the 109+ people lined up :D
