It is a wireless (usually USB) device that plugs into your computer that acts as a modem. I'm not sure of all the technical jargon, but simply put, you would get your internet access through the "aircard" and thus have internet connection wherever there is t-mobile service. Particularly helpful when on long road trips (and aren't the one driving!) I even saw a device that you could plug the air card into that would then broadcast a wireless network using the air cards internet connection. From what I hear T-Mobile is launching it in the UK first, no word about the US though.

An aircard? LIke the GC98 (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/phones/Cell-Phone-Detail.aspx?cell-phone=Sony-Ericsson-GC89) that they already have? Or are you speaking of a new 3G aircard? They also have unlimited data plans (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/cell-phone-plans-detail.aspx?tp=tb1&rateplan=T-Mobile-Total-Internet-for-Data-Cards)...

This thing had a few seconds of coverage in that London G1 launch video. if it is priced anywhere near $30 to $40/month, I might think of ditching TWC and moving ALL to T-Mobile. T-Mobile has earned my trust over the years, TWC on the other hand...
Well, and it'll have to have decent speed of course. At least 5 Mbps down and 768 Kbps up.

I feel your sentiments regarding TWC... Don't know how many times they've come out in the past month and I still have problems..
