Clear Armor for your G-1!

I'm not sure how many other people have used "Clear Armor", or "Ghost Armor" for their devices, but I will attest that it is def awesome, & much better then a bulky case. I just got it for my G-1 on eBay for $16.95 w/ a lifetime guarantee of course. Here's the link -

is it me or does it look yellow?, if seen this before, however it doesn'y always seem to "snap in place" around the phone!

The yellow color is just to give you the idea, it says on the page that it is crystal clear..

it still won't snap together like it is suppose too, and then you will here a rattling noise, only to find out, that when you remove the cover that it has worn some of the sides of the phone, being enclosed, sorry, been there done that. I HOPE IM WRONG

i dont think you guys get what this "case" actually is. It's not supposed to be a silicon case or a snap-on clear plastic case at all. Its basically a clear screen cover that instead goes over the whole phone. I'm guessing it is multiple pieces of clear adhesive plastic to cover the whole phone while not getting in the way of opening the keyboard, battery cover, etc.

It's only 0.008" thin. It will still fit in any case or faceplate. It adds an extra protection for times when the phone is removed from case.

Thats what one of the FAQ on the auction says, which is why I was thinking its a full-body Clearvue-type protector. It'll work well for preventing scratches, but doesn't protect it from drops, screen getting hit, etc.

On a side note, will screen protectors work fine with the G1's capacitive screen? I don't know much about the functional differences between capacitive and resistive screens

I think I'll wait until I actually have my Android, and here from other droids who are using these products before I purchase one myself..
I'd hate to get the wrong thing, especially if its an item that might leave sticky stuff on the screen, or do worse damage if you need to take it off..

I would think any regular screen protector is better than none. Personally I think I'm just gonna get like a regular screen protector to PROTECT my screen.
Now have a case is simply a different subject!

Do you need to take the phone out of the protector to open the screen? Seems more like a hassle. Are there any protectors that allow the screen to open?

Ok well There is obv a lot of confusion... It is a clear material that is used on military helicopter blades. It comes in a thin almost vinyl like material & you use a non-sticky spray solution to apply it. It is completely clear & it goes on just about every centimeter of your device. I have it on my iPhone right now & it is the best protection I have ever had. Go on youtube & punch in Ghost armor, or invisible armor & watch install video's, or testing video's. I could care less... I'm just trying to pass along a super innovative thing. The G-1 def isn't the sexiest phone, & with the way the screen has to slide open, there really is no case that's gonna fit correctly. If anyone wants to send me a private message w/ their email address, I will take some pics of my iPhone to give you a better idea (even tho its gonna be hard, cause you can barely see the film).

But, really, does the screen itself get scratched very often? It's pretty hard, isn't it? Now, the plastic case, sure, but I don't know that it's really necessary for the screen. However, I've never had a touch screen device, or a phone with an external screen like that one, so I don't know.... maybe that *would* be a good idea.

Oh the screen does scratch when you put your phone in your pocket. Or when there's debris inside a closed case :(
Lint also gets underneath the screen also (when placed into pocket), I hate when that happens.

Put in a search for G-1 on eBay & you will find them for sale all day. I got mine in the mail yesterday. Nice & thin, but made form the same material that all the companies use. IE- Ghost armor, bestskinever, body armor...
They also gave me a %40 off coupon for anything I order next on their site!

From the looks of it, its going to cover just about every open space on my G-1.
