WIFI Tether

I know there is most likely a thread about this already.
But I am looking for a way to tether to my laptop with a non-rooted G1
If someone could point me to the thread i would much appreciate it!

i may be wrong

but i dont think you can tether on a non root'ed g1

it's not wifi, but the usb cables are tiny. fit right in your pocket.

Is the PDAnet program pretty good? Secure?

It's getting better all the time. 1.14 works much better than the older version.

So I am a little ticked off now, I just downloaded and installed PdaNet, Got it set up and running, about 2 min into using it I get a pop-up telling me i need to buy it or it is going to quit working any minute. Ok its one thing to have to buy an app, but tell me before I get it all going. Nowhere on the page for the Android program does it say you have to buy it. WTF?

i've been using it since i last posted and got no popup. but it's the 1.12 version. i'm running it right now.

Like I said I am all for paying for programs, if its worth it, but tell me up front about it. It is also not exactly cheap either!Wonder if there is any way I can get the 1.12 version?
