If you live in one of the several unlucky markets where “The Mobile Solution” terrorizes the malls then you are in for a major change! The company recently sold off 10 major markets. For those who are not familiar with The Mobile Solution, they are an authorized reseller of T-Mobile products…. They are those guys that keep hawking you at the mall trying to sell you products that they know little about! On Friday, all of the affected markets started to slowly but surely close down. The stores are expected to start re-opening October 18th under the name “The Mobile Life” and will sell none other than AT&T products!!! So what does this translate to? Well, I expect to see a sudden upward spike in T-Mobile’s customer service scores which will hopefully help them reclaim the throne of “Best Customer Service”. What do you guys think?

i've heard some pretty ridiculous stories about them screwing over people, adding lines when people are trying to upgrade etc...
granted its a good move for t-mobile, but when looking at statistics authorized dealers bring in most of the business because of their lack of attention to detail and respect for the company they work for, as well as management being poor i'm sure if this is allowed... i've heard that tms specifically trains them to sell this way though (which may be hearsay) so that says something when they're not to be offering t-mobile anymore...
authorized dealers no matter how crappy, are a necessary evil for the mobile phone world in the US

i look at them the same way as i look at the guys who want to fix all the cracks in my windshield. we have em on the east coast in the malls here. "hey, you got any cracks in your windshield?" i got to the point of telling them i took the bus to the mall. i think tms is a little too pushy and uninformed. countless times i've told them things they had no clue about. either give em the boot, or,at the very least, give them some minor training in how to deal with the public like human beings. not like throwing bananas at monkeys for tricks.

they sling phones though man... and lots of them for t-mobile... their retention rate is horrible though, and i'm guessing they just sell and direct to t-mobile retail stores afterwards making their life easy, must be pretty bad for retail stores at times...
i get those guys too... i have some dents on my car from people banging my car with their door (20 at least, no exaggeration) and i get people rolling down their windows shouting at me all the time...
i've gotten hard enough to the point where i just turn up my stereo and ignore them completely... i'm sure i get cussed at... lots of times honked at

Speaking from experience because I use to be a TMS employee. I agree with all the crap. But we used to bank money. the retention rate is horrible because if your not up to par they drop you without hesitation.

I started with them actually and they add on an extra early termination fee in ADDITION to the one T-Mobile requires, it is in the contract you sign. If it wasn't for them though I wouldn't even have T-Mobile because they helped me work out a plan to pay back what I owe AND get a plan with a spending limit. Now I no longer have a spending limit and I have had the same number for three years now.. They're not all that bad... Just annoying...

I wish I could pass by one of those booths with a Tmobile t-shirt and a G1 in my hand...I'd love to see their reaction :D:D:D

They are very annoying. They yell at people in the mall as they pass by the booth.

Lol all of these comments are true. I can't stand them, they lie to customers all the time about what they plan includes and promise them the world! But when the customer goes back to complain they just send them to us(corporate store) to fix everything. I hope they get rid of the ones right by my location.
