I am using my G1 with firmware version 1.1 and kernel 2.6.25. Recently, it has started randomly playing music with no input from me. I looked at my apps and I have Amazon MP3s and Music. Neither of them seem to have settings to stop this, and neither has an uninstall option. I deleted all the songs that were included, but it still starts, it just doesn't play muusic anymore. How can I stop this?

Thanks!

Had the same problem with my Android, an HTC Magic, random music starts playing when I'm watching videos from the Gallery.

Used Advanced Task Killer to stop the music, but it just starts all over again.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

I am having major problems with the media player on my Sprint HTC Hero. As I'm playing songs, it skips, stops, changes to other songs, etc. It's driving me CRAZY and I'm about to throw the thing at the wall. I'm wondering if the processor is really overwhelmed, it's bad software, or there's an app interfering. Also, any help appreciated!

Hi,

I had a similar problem. Tracks started randomly. Check that your notification tone settings are still set up right and especially if you use Ringdroid or similar. I discovered mine had got lost and so the phone used a random MP3 as a notification tone in place of the one I wanted, for texts, Gmail, Twitter etc.

If that's it, just reassign the right tones...
