Mobile verison of AC

Before I discovered AC, the community I came from had a mobile version of their website. It didnt have any of the pictures or anything, just enough to work your way through the forum from your phone, while still loading quickly. Refused you know what I'm talkin about. Is it possible? Especially once the G1 hits, I would love to be able to look around the site from my phone at work. :D

Even if they do not have a mobile site, the g1 is made to have the REAL internet so you should be able to do everything you can do on your computer right on your phone

yah, it probably wouldn't be that bad... the "zoom square" feature is pretty nice when i tried it out, but you still can't beat the pinching for browsing... most ergonomical feel and ease of use

there is an iphone style that i am sure can be modded to fit the G1 when it comes out.

yeah the G1 will be able to view full pages. but the experience is so much better when u have a site that's optimized to be viewed on your phone. i use it for my forum and i love it. i will be adding it again to fit the G1 for the G1 peeps on my site. think about all the sites that made iphone specific versions even though the iphone can view full pages as if u were on ur pc.

when i get the G1 and mod the style to fit it perfectly i will give it to AC if they haven't done it themselves. if they are interested of course. haa

i would recommend using opera mini... surfing with a proxy based internet browser like opera mini, or the soon coming skyfire browser, is much more efficient and even takes less download bandwidth...

plus with opera mini in its current state, it has a "snap to" feature which adjusts your screen to a paragraph or picture, which most of the time works like a charm

I know its possible to view website normally, but for the people that know what Im talking about this mobile version of it is much better for navigating through forums. Just wait til they come out with it, youll see.

I agree..even Google has mobile versions (Reader, Photos, Docs, Calender, etc) that we will access...

I'm going to point out that it's more than a little ironic that no one anticipated (far enough in advance) that we might want to view the site on a G1 . . .
