When you call for order status

What does your status say? mine says the my order is pending and was placed on 09/29. Anyone's message say any different?

that's odd. i just called. mine said "we're still processing your order,which was placed on 9/29, and expect it to ship on the next business day".
grrr,not getting my hopes up

Call 611 from your cell phone. When it asks "how can I help you", say "order status" and follow the prompts from there.

My status said my order is on backorder.

for those who ordered it on or before the 3rd.. im sure the status of your order will change once the phone actually shipps from there warehouse. wich will probably on the 20th. and then it'll go from "backorder" to "shipped".

Well i dialed "611" and it had me down for 3 orders of the G-1 which one was already cancelled and i called to have another one removed.. while talking to "Amy" from T-mobile she also stated that my G-1 was listed as "backorder" and that i should call back by the 17th or track it via ups using my mobile number to check the status of my phone and that if it didnt show it was shipped yet (since T-mobile states that they guarantee any preordered G-1's will be delivered BY the 22nd of October) to request to speak with Customer Care to see exactly whats going on with the order itself. However she did make it clear that there was some system issues and that the "backorder" status may not be current with the status of the shipments.. so fingers crossed on that one because i will be SICK if i check on the 17th and they dont have me listed as a shipped item yet to receive my phone.. every day now feels like torture since we all get the latest updates on here without being able to hold the phone in our hands! (but yet im still thankful for the latest info because the G-1 is definitely the next big move with cell phones!) So to all of my backordered listed people.. its a "wait and see" type of deal for now..

Oh just incase this is already posted.. the white G-1's will not be available until after the launch date...(im sure that this has already been made aware)

I just called 611 and got the same message most of you got. The phone is on backorder. I, like most of you who preordered, found that unacceptable. After speaking to a representative I was assured that anyone who pre-ordered their phone would receive it on or around the release date according to the agreement when you bought the phone. That agreement specified 1 - 3 days after the release date as a cushion.

I also ordered mine on 9/29, and am getting the 'Back-Ordered' message. Did we ALL wait too long to order?? Could it be we missed the 1st shipment, and have to wait for the next load to come in? If so, the only good thing about that would be that the 2nd batch is supposed to have the USB adapter for the headphone jack, that didn't make it into the 1st batch......

I just got off the phone with CS to verify my address and G1 order ( i ordered on the 23rd ) and i quote " we do not have a tracking number for your order as of yet, but you will get you order on or BEFORE the 22nd". So i am happy that i got a confirmation. I did also get the "back ordered" message from the automated system.

Yes, this a very new thing for T-Mo, they typically order handsets and ship them out on the next biz day. Apparently nobody told them they should update the phone system to account for that, or set up a special mailbox, phone number for pre-orders.

Well yesterday when I called 611, I got the 'back-ordered' message. Then when I got home there was a message on my answering machine from T-Mo Cust Serv, and all I could understand through this guy's THICK accent, and poor english, was that my phone had been 'approved', and I should check the e-mail I was sent, or call CS if I had any questions. Approved??? So, I called CS, and they just said that yes, they got my order on 9/29, and that the units were on backorder. D'uh!!! Then today when I tried to call 611, it said the last 4 of my Social was incorrect!! MY!!!! How UN-Socialable!!! So who knows!!!!
