Differences In the 3 Color Options

Hey everyone, first post :)

So sometime next week I (hopefully) will be upgrading my LX to a G1. I've done all my research on the phone itself and am completely set and syked for it, but now that I've decided on the make, I need to pick the model.

I have a few Q's before making my choice

Re: Texture
Are the White and Bronze versions "grippy" like the black one? Or do they have a different feel? How grippy is the black (I played with my friend's G1 back in like...Decemberish, and don't recall the exact texture)?

Re: Keypad

Are the keypads on the White and Bronze that much worse? Is the feel different?

Re: Wear and Tear
Anyone with any color, how is it holding up after use?







As of now, I'm leaning towards the black, because of the keyboard (from what I hear), sleekness, and etc. However the grippy texture isn't really doing it for me (if it's anything like the wing, if it's a subtle grip then that's fine), and if the Bronze or White have a plasticy or metallic feel I might reconsider :P

well i think the only difference between them is that the white and bronze have a silver/gray keyboard which is really hard to see with the backlight on in low light (from what i hear)

and the texture on the backing is subtle but it feels very right in your hand, im guessing all of them have this texture

The Black has a more rubberized feel to it, while the Bronze & White has a slight Glossy feel..

The Bronze to me is the most versatile out of the 3, but eh (to each their own)

yeah i have the black one, i didnt like the split color of the bronze and white, i wouldve gotten the white one if it was all white or the bronze if it was a lighter shade of bronze cuz u cant really tell its bronze lol

lol no the keyboard on the black is not rubberized it feels kinda like the treo keyboards except the keys are almost flush.

i say go with the black and if u want it glossy u can buy a best skin ever, invisible shield or phantom skinz

i personally have a phantom skinz and it has practically no "orange peel"

The keys aren't rubberized on the Bronze or the White, they have a hard feel under your fingers.. (They black G1 is slightly different)

Also the back light issue really isn't all that serious, once you have the phone. (You'll learn how to make it work)

The LX is more like the Black G1, if that helps you out any

+1 for the black... if you put a nice full body protector, it will make it feel "rubbery'

well like i said i have phantom skinz on mine and its not rubbery at all thats kinda why i got it cuz every other body protector has that "orange peel" that makes it rubbery

i sure wish i got black instead. this phone has many excellent attributes but looks arent one of them. white and bronze seem to draw attention while black understates which is appropriate for this slightly awkward looking phone. i said slightly.
