179.99 on T-Mobile after already upgrading?

I pre-ordered my black G1 on the day it was announced and since then, when I log in to My T-Mobile, it says an upgrade to a G1 would be 299.99 which was expected...I got the confirmation text message, have a print out confirming my order, and everything seemed just fine...today I logged in and hit "upgrade phone" and it's showing the G1 available to me for 179.99...any reason why this would happen? I hope my pre-order didn't get messed up, otherwise T-Mobile will be getting an earful!

Maybe because your contract just ended and you are eligible for the full upgrade now?

Cancel the previous order and get this!

Don't cancel! Just call a rep to adjust the price for you if that's the case.

To be on the safe side, I would call T-mobile and get it straighten out..:cool:

You can not cancel the order, your only option is to deny it when it comes in, or send it to an address which is given on the t-mobile site.. But I'm sure any issues can be dealt with bu calling T-Mobiles customer service..:cool:

I was out of contract when I ordered before, so I got it at the 179.99 price to begin with...then I would just go back to see if it had sold out and it would show the cost at 299.99 for an additional because I had done an upgrade which made sense to me...now it is showing me 179.99 again like I hadn't done the upgrade before...sorry for not clarifying earlier

CS will not allow you to cancel it , just dont accept the order when it arrive , I was also charge 299. on my upgrade, but decide to use my sister number to get the G1 at 179.99 . on a family plan .

My T-mobile account showed the same thing, So I call T-mobile and confirmed my order. 17 days and 20 hours to go.

It's $120!i guess if he wants to wait then he can i would rather not wait any longer then i have to OR!! he can stay with the order the he has now when he gets his phone he can return it to the t-mobile retail store and rebuy a new phone one with a new contract :)

Serveral people including me have the same issue. Just call CS to confirm your order, they can also give you the confirmation #.

^^^ no he was talking about how he payed $299.99 for his phone and then when he went on the site and hit upgrade it told him 179.99 and then someone said that maybe because his contract ended... and i told him that "wait till you get your phone then return it to t-mobile and resign a new contract for 2 years and then get the phone for $179.99" :) you do have 14 days to play with your phone and then you can return it and cancel your contract without paying a fee :)

I got mine just in case right now because my upgrade option also stated $179.99 again, so I just wanted to double check and confirm the order went through.

i've already pre-ordered my g1 and got the confirmation but not the text cause it was probably sent to my moms phone..but like the first 2 days when i would check online and click on the upgrade phone link it would direct me to this page saying that my phone was in the process of being upgraded. but now when i do the same thing it allows me to ugrade it again to the g1 or the other phones that are listed :eek: and yeah at first it would say $299 then now it says $179!

Would that actually work? I'm also on a family plan and my contract isn't close enough to qualify for an upgrade.
