Hey everyone I just had a question or 2 first; if I bought a UK G1 would it work in the US? 2nd, I want to start writing software, maybe overclocking the G1. Any tips on where or how to get started? Thanks in advance.

First -- Yes, but you'll need to reflash the phone with US firmware. Search 'rc29 nbh' to get that.
Second -- Overclocking the G1 will never have much of an effect. It's not significantly underclocked from the factory like the iPhone is. Memory bandwidth limits it speed, not CPU clock cycles.
I'm not a coder, but you want to start getting into Android programming with a good basis in Java. There are several free (slightly outdated) Java programming books on the web. There is an Android developers' resource coming out in print very soon.

Ic, awesome thanks. I really like the UK White G1 and i have a friend who wants 2 buy my G1 so i figure sell mine buy the white one lol and for the OCing is it possible 2 OC the memory Bandwidth? or Ram?

Welcome!!! I know just about ...nothing about coding, but it's always nice to have someone wanting to improve the G1 experience around!
