I have just recieved word that my store will be an exclusive dealer in the Jacksonville, FL area. Our area is not 3G yet so the only place to buy the G1 albeit online, is at my store. We are located in the Regency Mall in Arlington Jacksonville, FL. So come on my way for all your G1 Needs

The location inside the mall, or the one on Atlantic Blvd? I pre-ordered mine, but I know a few who didn't that may buy the device on release day.

Since you are a store manager. Here is a question. Is there anyway I can buy the G1 at discounted price without signing a contract since im already with T mobile. Im not interested in an upgrade..

If I have to buy it at retail price, am I subjected to the data plan requirement?

Our location is inside the mall closest to the food court.

And to answer your question poorly. T-Mobile has not release retail prices. they only have released upgrade pricing due to the fact that the phone is still in test stages.

Could you give us a time-frame on when Jacksonville, Fl will be getting 3G? We are the biggest city as far a land is concerned, and were growing extremely fast!! We need 3G!!! :D

I stopped by the T-Mobile store on Atlantic Blvd, near Girvin Road a couple of days ago. The rep that I talked with said he "was told Jacksonville would have 3G in the first quarter of 2009." I hope he is right.

kaziko-
Being a store manager, would you happen to know if I could renew my
current 2-year contract even though it most likely hasn't ended?
& does renewing the contract reduce the price?

I am in Jax also, and when people are saying that 3g is popping up on thier phone briefly i think you are confusing the symbols. SOmetimes the phone will show "G" instead of the "E" on the top of the phone. This is NOT 3g it is "Gprs". The 3G symbols has a 3 and a G and is not available anywhere in jacksonville.

There was only one person that said that. I am pretty sure the rest of us are aware of the difference.
