Re: contacts sync error "...currently experiencing problems..." with red exclamation
I had the exact same problem, except mine would sync from Gmail to my G1, but G1 contacts would not sync with Gmail. All I did was delete my cache for Myfav by going into application management and it worked.
Although it did wipe my call log list and deleted one contact from my list for unknown reason.
