Kernel hacker and Android programmer Francisco Franco wants to you to “focus”. It’s just one word but you and I will agree that it’s very challenging to do, what with all the distractions in the world. This Media and Video app works as a special gallery so you can view photos and videos on your phone in a more aesthetically pleasing view. The Focus app offers speed, efficiency, and ease to the mobile user who values his precious media files for whatever vain or noble purpose.

The app recently received an update and a few additions like app lock security, native “Set as wallpaper” feature, native video player, and picture-picking mode from the document picker. You can now also change the main icon of the app in Focus 1.2. As for the improvements, you’ll notice the loading time of starting page has been reduced while scrolling performance is a bit faster. Picture edit functionality has been enhanced as well. If you’re a frequent Focus user, you may notice the redesigned picture viewer experience.

This media gallery also prevents family, friends, and strangers or just about any snoop who wants to swipe through more pictures and get more information apart from what you’re already sharing to the world. The standard Focus features are still there which means you can access any image, video, or gif saved on the device from the main screen. The interface boasts of Material Design elements so the user interface looks more streamlined and attractive. You can also use the app to serve as source for the Muzei Live Wallpaper.
