Flixster update adds new UI for tablets, tosses in a free movie

Today the popular Movies by Flixster Android app has received a nice little update bringing some awesome new features to the tablet world. While their app already worked on Android tablets, today we have some full size photo enhancements as well as an improved user interface for all those 10-inch tablets roaming the street. More details below.

With more than 10 million downloads it’s no surprise that Flixster is one of the most popular movie apps for Android. Previous updates added HD video previews and more but today it’s more about pictures and the user interface. The developers have improved the fullscreen photo gallery experience, so now you can browse your favorite movie stars in fullscreen mode.

Along with new gallery features we also have an improved and revamped user interface for 10-inch Android tablets — so Flixster should work great with that shiny new Nexus 10. They state improvements to the login via Facebook feature, but don’t mention what was changed. Then as usual the “bug fixes and performance improvements” is listed in the what’s new section.

Along with the update Flixster will be giving away a free movie rental (for streaming) for those who’d like to sign up for their free UltraViolet account option — which is their digital movie service. Then even more free movies if you refer a friend. For more details and to get the latest version of Movies by Flixster head to the Google Play Store and get it today.
