Some of us suspected this from the beginning but still kept our hopes up. Keep in mind while reading this that this is only pertaining to full Flash 10.1, Flash lite is still a possibility. Adobe has released the minimum requirements for Flash 10.1, and, as many feared, most first generation Android phones fall short. Never the less, Flash Lite remains a possibility.

Android phones that will not be getting Flash 10.1 are: the Sprint Hero, Sprint Moment, T-Mobile G1, T-Mobile myTouch 3G, T-Mobile CLIQ, T-Mobile Behold II, Verizon DROID ERIS and Verizon DEVOUR. A few things about this may seem suspicious to some because, 1. Flash 10 was first demoed flawlessly on a G1. 2. A few of these phones already support Flash and has some variation of Flash 9 installed. This leads me to believe all Androids will get Flash it just won’t be full Flash 10.1

According to Adobe, an Android device must have both Android 2.1 and an ARM v7 (Cortex) processor which includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon and the TI OMAP3 processors. Currently the only phone to meet these requirements is the Nexus One, the Droid will join it shortly after it receives the 2.1 OTA.
