I have never heard of a phone maker called Far EasTone, which is most likely because the company makes handsets specifically for the Taiwanese market and I am in America. The company has announced that it will be launching more Android devices this year than it had previously said.

Far EasTone offered up a cryptic tidbit that it was working with a major Taiwanese handset maker for two of the devices, and said handset maker is not HTC. PCWorld reports it’s not likely to be Acer that the handset comes from either.

That leaves two potentials including Garmin-Asus and Gigabyte. Another interesting tidbit is that the announcement of more handsets form the company came on the eve of Android’s first birthday.
