Ematic has announced their latest 7-inch tablet, the EGQ307. This one is touted as being their “most powerful tablet yet” and is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. The tablet is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and as we often see coming from Ematic, a big focus of the EGQ307 comes in regards to pricing.

This is another with a budget price and those considering a purchase will be able to find the Ematic EGQ307 for $99.99. The folks at Ematic further describe this one as having “an impressive list of technical specifications at an even more impressive price.” We will let you decide that bit for yourself, however we can break down the other features which include 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM and mini-HDMI.

The tablet also has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. Touching back on the display, the resolution here will be 1024 x 600 with a ppi of 169. Anyway, while the quad-core processor does have some appeal, the remaining specs are still sort of mid-to-low level. Basically, this comes down to price versus features.

Otherwise, in addition to Android 4.2, the tablet does have Google Play Services including access to the Google Play Store. And as you can see from the image at the top of the post, Ematic has this model available in a variety of colors. All that having been said, along with availability direct from Ematic, the EGQ307 can be found with other retailers including Walmart, B&H, Fry’s and ShopHQ.
