CEO Mathu Rajan of Stream TV comments, “We’re confident that the A7 will provide a great mobile computing user experience. We worked very hard on the UI and software in recent months to ensure that we were integrating the newest and best solutions, but also met the added challenge of doubling original production targets due to high demand. We know that our customers have been eagerly anticipating this release and we look forward to receiving their feedback.”

The A7 optimizes portability, connectivity, and computing power like never before in one sleek device. The first mobile tablet available in the U.S. running Android 2.2 Froyo, the eLocity A7 offers a wide range of mobile apps, supports Adobe Flash and is enabled for 3D gaming with the NVIDIA Tegra T-250 dual core processor.  Sporting a high resolution seven-inch capacitive and multi-touch screen, 4GB of high speed internal flash memory, the eLocity A7 is a multipurpose device that provides a full entertainment solution along with business productivity and wireless connectivity. The tablet is equipped with a micro SD slot supporting up to 32GB of added storage, a USB port supporting up to 64GB of added storage and a 1080p HDMI output. With streamlined dimensions of 8.2 inches by 4.8 inches and weighing just over a pound, the new eLocity A7 tablet is more portable than the iPad and sports a striking design expected to appeal to a wide demographic of users.

  1. Forget TigerDirect BJs has it for $299.99. But with the Samsung Tab not being as good as the Ipad will the A7 give Ipad a run for its money?

  2. I have had 2 different, but low cost 7″ tablets, both Android 2.1, one was $149 and had not market access and swollowed SD Micro cards. Then I ordered without knowing (got no confimration) a CherryPad, $188 and freight, landed at $204. It had nice aluminum case, decent restistant screen and loaded market apps fine. Sold to family member who loves it. I am waiting for a good 3D tablet to use with my 3D cameras. So this purchase is a ‘GET ME BY”, I bought a Viewsonic G10 with the Tegra 2 and 2.2. It had serious issues, like I never saw any light on the screen? Maybe bad charger? but the talk around the net was total thumbs down, no speed, Flash 10.1 not working and no direct feed for Market apps. 10″ screen is too big for me. I wear an extra large glove and still this did not feel right from just a little time handling it. On Dec 12th, I discovered the Archos 70 and the Elocity A7. I will be using this unit as a temp tab until a 3D that will handle Fuji W3 photos and video, and needs no glasses and full viewing at all angles. So, that is going to take a while. Have super sweet Samsung 8000 Plasma 3D system with shutter glasses and it is beter then the movie houses, especialy with the 7.2 with a zillion watt sound system, Polk Audio, twin 100w woofers and 6 towers and a Wharfedale Diamond Center speaker powered by the new top of the line Samsung pass thru receiver by way of 1.4 HDMI cables with 28awg and 52gig flow. Can’t go to the movies anymore, they are too plain and the sound is not mixed for eveyone to have the same experience. Besides, if my wife and I attend a movie it usually costs over $50 with Imax 3D, parking and $8.00 popcorn and you know the drill. So now we are buying all the 3D releases we can get our hands on plus we both shot 3D with camcorders and stills which when done with a little practice makes her lap dog swimming in the pool stick his tail in your face.
Sorry, got lost, I back ordered the Archos 70 for $269 on Amazon and went on the list. The next morning I got up and decided to give it another try on the Elocity A7 and lo and behold, the BJ’s ad popped up and said get your $299.99 in here quick and we will ship in 2 to 3 days. Cancelled the Amazon Vaperware with half the spec and few bucks less and got a confirmation immediately. I have sweated it for 24 hours until this letter came through today. Read for your self. BJ’s is holding this price until the 17th of Dec. or until their allocation runs out. Run, Run, Run to that computer and buy a half brother to the Galaxy Tab for 1/2 price. Know this as well, the same looking unit shows up in Australia under Pioneer DreamBook ePad N7 and in China as an Aigo n700 and funny thing is they except for the Compel NX100 have had delays and all have been about 3 months to ship, things that make you go hum! I could be backwards or sideways on the Compal and the Aigo, but you get the drift.
I think this Elocity A7 should carry a person through for the first 6 months of next year until they have to move up. However, if Honeycomb becomes available for it, then we might get a year out of it until we have to get our hands on the latest and the greatest. Sorry, I am not an Apple fanboy, I like nice stuff but I hate to pay too much for too little and the only one I need to impress while sitting in the airport surfing, is me> I don’t need a newbie’s UI in order to use a product.
P>S> I am in my 60’s and I do have full blown attention deficient or maybe the other stuff that starts with an A and has a Z in it. So I apologize that I have trouble staying on track while attempting to communication. Couple that with a 5th grade education and need I say more?

Here is proof, seemingly that the Elocity A7 really does exist. I only hope all this wait does not lead to a can of worms and nightmares of owner experiences. I have downloaded the start up manual and the owners manual and am read and ready.

You asked on shipping, 2nd day air to Florida was $19.99 and since BJ’s (like a Costco or Sam’s) has physical stores in Florida so they charged Florida State Sales tax of like $21 bucks.

  3. Just received my elocity A7. It is fantastic and even better than all the writeups. Super graphics and movie play. The touch screen is as good or better than my droid x phone. It may not have the Android Market but there are thousands of apps available on the internet. I took back my Viewsonic G. And I purchased a Cruz Tablet and took it back. All were to coin a phrase CRAP. The elocify A7 at now$ 299 is the way to go.

  4. Bought one of these and I think they are pretty good for the money paid (it’s not an iPad). I did have a hard time finding a case for it. However, found a small company that makes a pretty good sleeve for this unit and sells them for only $8.95 with free freight at http://www.nuvo-tek.com.

By the same token, if anyone knows of where I can buy a case (not a sleeve) that is a good fit for this eLocity unit, please let me know.

    Thanks

  6. I think these units are a good deal. Bought one of these and I think they are pretty good for the money paid on http://www.Amazon.com. I also purchased a good sleeve case at http://nuvo-tek.com for only $ 8.95 with free shipping.

By the same token, if anyone knows of where I can buy a hard case (not a sleeve) that is a good fit for this unit, please let me know.
