Droid X2 Successor Codenamed Daytona, Shipping in May with Tegra 2?

Motorola is a key player in the current Android market. With powerful devices such as the BIONIC and Atrix on track to release this year, many are wondering what will be their next product. It seems that it will indeed be the successor to the DROID X which is currently in development under the codename “Daytona.”

The Daytona, or DROID X2, is said to feature a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 4.3-inch display with a 540×960 resolution, and feature many of the hardware options as the original DROID X such as the HDMI out, HD video capture, and 8-megapixel camera.

Currently X2 devices are running Android 2.2, but by the expected launch date of May, this is expected to change. It’s also unknown of the device will be 4G ready, if it’s not, it will definitely separate it from the DROID Bionic. Only time will tell are we will definitely keep on the lookout for anything “X2″ or “Daytona” related.

You know…I never thought Id say this..but it might be time for me to switch to Verizon…Im currently with Tmo and I work for Sprint..but neither have revealed ne thing close to what Verizon is releasing in the coming months, or even ATT’s new lineup…time to see whats the max discount I can get for Verizon to offset their high ass prices…
