Motorola said that it can’t be done, the Droid X is on lock down and no custom ROMS will be loaded. Well, it looks like we are seeing something different here. The Sapphire AOSP 2.2 ROM has been loaded and spied running on a Droid X, and if you would like more details on the ROM head on over to the Sapphire site, here.

Also, we have seen some info on a Google Voice widget recently, and if you are wanting to know how to get the updated Google Voice on your phone, you can head over to this link here and download the APK. There have been issues reported with dialer pad buttons not working on some of the Sense ROMS, so download at your own risk. We do not have an official release of the app yet, but I am sure if you hold tight it will be updated in the market before long.
