Today, Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile are offering pre sales on the Droid X. Similar to what they’ve done in the past with the Incredible, Best Buy got an early pre-order spot about 3 weeks before its release. This move allows you to avoid the mail in rebate card, which is $100.

From the HTC EVO and iPhone from AT&T, and the Droid X from Verizon, Best Buy/Mobile has become the best place to go for mobile smart phones. Users of the Android platform will be able to reserve copies of the Droid X first. The Droid X’s features, include the 2.1 Android operating system for Google, a 4.3″ screen to go along with 720P HD video recording and playback. The Droid X will be able to receive the Android 2.2 later this summer.
