If you needed any extra proof that HTC’s DROID Incredible 4G LTE was on the way, well then, you’ve probably got some kind of trust issues. Nevertheless, here it is: HTCPEdia’s online shop seems to have jumped the gun and begun selling the Incredible 4G’s extended battery and battery cover, without a phone for them to fit in. While there’s little doubt that the DROID Incredible 4G LTE is coming, we still don’t know exactly when it’ll hit Verizon or for how much.

The extended battery beefs up the capacity to 2150mAh, a boost of about 400mAh from its rumored stock battery. That’s just a little more juice than Samsung’s official extended battery for the Galaxy Nexus LTE. Interestingly, the $34.99 battery and $19.99 cover are sold separately, bringing the total cost up to $55 for the set. On the plus side, this will allow customers to buy multiple extended batteries at a lower cost without having superfluous covers sitting around collecting dust.

At this point there isn’t much we don’t know about the DROID Incredible 4G LTE’s hardware: it shares a lot of design DNA with the HTC One S, shrinking the QHD display down to 4.0 inches and swapping out the metal chassis for a plastic case. It drops the storage capacity to 8GB but inserts an SD card slot to make up for it. Ice Cream Sandwich, Sense 4.0, an 8-megapixel camera and a Snapdragon S4 processor make the jump. If that May 10th date is anything to go by, we should see a retail phone in a couple of weeks.

  1. “It drops the storage capacity to 8GB but inserts an SD card slot to make up for it”

It also adds LTE, NFC and a removable battery (makes this article possible)
