XDA forum member punk.kaos has been hard at work refining his Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM build for the DROID Eris. Now, with version 6, it’s almost fully functional.

The update has brought in many new features and, according to user reports, this ROM is now ready to be a daily/main ROM.

The fixes in Update 6 include:

• Working OpenGL
• WiFi
• Bluetooth
• In-call microphone
• Notification Lights
• Ambient, rotation and other sensors working
• Data radio

Bugs are being ironed out the second they arise so if you plan on using this ROM be sure to report them! For further information, and download links check out the original XDA thread.
