We know the Droid 2 Global is coming, we just aren’t exactly sure when. Rumors over the past month have pointed to the Global officially replacing the Droid 2 in Verizon’s stock when it’s released. It’s looking like that day might be sooner than expected – WalMart is currently in the process of shipping back it’s Droid 2 stock to it’s distributer.

The recall order, placed this weekend, has WalMart sending back it’s current stock by Tuesday, October 26th.You can see in the capture below that it has obviously been deleted from WalMart’s stock. We expect the Droid 2 to have a quiet launch, not much hype will surround a phone that’s only a slight, but very important, update for some.

If the recall takes place by October 26th, this could be our first hint that the device may hit shelves by the end of the month or early November. If this is the case, we can definitely expect an announcement soon.
