Cowon has outed its latest PMP, and as was rumored earlier in the year, the new Cowon D3 Plenue runs Android 2.1. Fronted by a 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA touchscreen, the D3 Plenue has WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, an HDMI port and a T-DMB digital TV tuner.

It also has a huge list of codec support and, we’re guessing, lives up to Cowon’s tradition of audiophile-quality sound. Three versions will be on offer, in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities (with a microSD card slot if you want to add more) but there’s no word on pricing or release dates at this stage.

  1. hot chip! Been dreaming of an android replacement for my Cowon D2, although my D2 is still expandable and has audio quality way better than any other pmp on the market (that I’ve heard)
