How much is Clash of Clans worth? To you and I, likely what we spent in-app for builders’ huts and more gems. For the company behind the popular game, the answer is about $790 million. That’s their revenue jump from 2012 to 2013, thanks in large part to the game.

In 2012, Supercell made about $101 million in revenue, and $51 million EBITDA. For 2013, those numbers skyrocketed to $892 million and $464 million, respectively. Though Clash of Clans is the runaway hit, the company also released Hay Day, an equally addictive and popular game. both of those games are on a recent study regarding most downloaded and profitable titles.

In releasing their financial results, Supercell also touched on an upcoming title, Boom Beach. The game will bring the battle to the waterfront, as players try to conquer various beachfront strongholds. It seems a lot like Clash of Clans, except tropical — or at least beach-y.

Supercell is backed by SoftBank and GungHo, makers of the popular Puzzle & Dragons game. The two make a $1.53 billion investment on Supercell last October, giving them a controlling interest in the Finnish company. As Clash of Clans and Hay Day continue to thrive, Supercell hopes Boom Beach can push their revenue stream even higher. If it plays as well as Clash of Clans, I may have to float another $20 Supercell’s way.
