The “millennial” Christmas party now doesn’t just involve people dancing in your living room or gathered around, playing party games like pictionary or charades. We’ve managed to incorporate those digital appendages called smartphones and other gadgets into our festivities. Google knows this very well and so they’ve now added even more games that are supported by Chromecast so you can now enjoy more games cast onto the big screen, like Angry Birds and Hasbro family-friendly games.

If you like the red bird from the original Angry Birds game (come on, who doesn’t?) then you’ll be happy to know that you can play Angry Birds Friends on a bigger screen and you can also compete in weekly tournaments to improve your standing in the war between pigs and birds. If you feel more like driving speeding boats than killing pigs, then you can play Driver Speedboat Paradise as your Chromecast streams it onto your TV.

If it’s the whole family gathered around your TV set, then you can choose from any of Hasbro’s games, including Monopoly Here & Now, Yahtzee Blitz, The Game of Life, Scrabble Blitz 2.0 and world domination game, Risk. And the more exciting thing is that you can play it with a split-screen experience. This means the game gets played out on the TV screen but your mobile device is your controller. You can also view your cards only on your phone and then make your move on the bigger screen.

Unfortunately, the Hasbro games are only available in the US and Canada. But more and more games are being added to Chromecast, according to Google, so visit chromecast.com/apps to see what else you can play.
