OPhone

The OS is based on Google Android and includes an open-source core. The core is based on middleware, app software, hardware reference designs, and a Java virtual machine. China Mobile says that more than 10 phone makers are participating.

The manufacturers include Lenovo, Dell, Dopod(HTC), Samsung, Motorola, LG, Amoi, Philips, Hisense and more. The OS will give developers a friendly interface and open development model to work with. China Mobile says that it is committed to becoming a mainstream operating system.
