LG is introducing its very first audio products that will not require you to attach your smartphone or tablet to the speakers just so you can listen to your favorite song or share your current playlist at your party. That’s because Music Flow is a HiFi audio system that is Google Cast-enabled, so as long as your source device has the extension, then it can cast your music onto the speakers and sound bars, for a truly wireless experience.

The Music Flow line is made up of various kinds of audio paraphernalia. You have their Model H4 Portable Wi-Fi Speaker which has the distinction of being old-school in that it is the first of its kind that can run on batteries. You also have three different models of Wi-Fi Speakers, as well as three different models of the Wi-Fi Sound Bars. To be able to control the music that you’ll cast to the speakers, you simply download the Music Flow app on to your device, whether it’s Android or even your Chromebook mobile devices.

Once you’re set up, then you’ll be able to stream your songs and playlists on to the Music Flow speakers. But it’s not just your stored music that you can stream, but you can also cast from some of the most popular music streaming services like Google Play Music, Pandora, Songza, TuneIn, and Rdio. You can also stream Spotify, but you will use Spotify Connect as a remote control. You can also connect the speakers to one another with LG’s Advanced Wireless Network. The Home Cinema Mode lets you have your own cinema, well at least audio-wise, while you watch your favorite movies or tv shows.

Google Cast will be available for the LG Music Flow Wi-Fi speakers starting April and then for the portable speakers by May. Those who already have the speakers and sound bar will be able to upgrade their products through an OTA update once the service has already been released in the market.
