Canadian Android users are getting a surprise this week, as various smartphone owners are reporting that Google and/or some of the carriers have quietly switched on paid-apps in the Android Market. According to BGR, both Fido and Rogers subscribers have spotted paid-apps in amongst the freebies.
However, some digging indicates that Bell and TELUS customers haven’t been so lucky, with most saying they’re still not seeing any new additions. Those with increased access to the Market’s wares are split between people with carrier-supplied handsets and those using unlocked, SIM-free devices.
