Yesterday, we learned that Snapdragon 652 variant is the HTC 10 Lifestyle. It’s the mid-range version of the HTC 10 that will be released in other markets like India and China. We also know that the phone will be available in three colors: Carbon Grey, Glacial Silver, and Topaz Gold. Those are standard, boring colors but for those in Japan, they can get also get the exclusive Camellia Red from KDDI.

Perhaps one of the most controversial flagship phones in the market today is the HTC 10. Controversial not in a bad way but because we’re interested to know how the audience sees the phone. Maybe controversial is not the right term but we really want to know if the HTC 10 will finally pull numbers up for the ailing Taiwanese OEM.

The company’s overall sales and performance were going down consistently last year but HTC didn’t easily give up. It launched some new apps and several money-making schemes. We’re hopeful that HTC will see some positive changes in revenue this 2916 but sadly, the company already saw an all-time record low last February. That’s way lower than the previous year.

One glimmer of hope is the rumor of a 3-year Nexus deal with Alphabet but that’s still unconfirmed. We’re also not sure if that will help a lot because HTC has launched a number of new smartphones last year but to no avail. There was the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9s. These were aside from the several other HTC Desire phones released.

The spotlight is now on the HTC 10 because it’s the product that will somehow tell us where HTC is going. It’s too early to judge and review but ever since those new pics of HTC 10 leaked, we got more curious.

Before the April 12 official launch, we already had a glimpse of the new premium flagship phone, thanks to an artist who rendered the images. HTC teased that it will have a world-class camera and as it turned out, the camera system includes a 12MP UltraPixel rear camera and a 5MP Selfie OIS cam.

We were there on the April 12 launch and got our hands on the smartphone. We were quick to judge and said that it’s a nice One M7 reboot. A few days after, T-Mobile shared the epic unboxing video from 10,000 feet above Las Vegas. More HTC 10 details were published and yet.

As for the pricing, the HTC 10 will cost $699 and is now available for pre-order in the US.
