BLU LIFE PURE mini unveiled with 4.5-inch HD display

BLU Products has announced the newest device to enter the LIFE PURE lineup. The new addition is the LIFE PURE mini and it follows earlier announcements for the LIFE PURE and LIFE PURE Pro models. Those two are both sporting a 5-inch display, and the new mini model brings a slightly smaller 4.5-inch display.

The display for the LIFE PURE mini is HD, specifically, 1280 x 720. It also has a ppi of 326 and sits protected by a scratch resistant touch panel. BLU Products has the mini powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor (MediaTek MT6589T) with a PowerVR SGX544GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space. Worth noting, the LIFE PURE mini does not have a memory card slot.

Other goodies include a non-removable 3000 mAh battery, 2.0 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. The rear-facing camera has auto-focus, an LED flash and can record 1080p video at 30 frames-per-second. Additionally, the basics such as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB will be found.

The LIFE PURE mini measures in at 130 x 64.4 x 8.9mm and weighs in at 149 grams. BLU Products has this one launching with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and with the following in terms of network connectivity;

  • 3G (HSPA+ 42Mbps) 850/1900 or 850/2100
  • 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

BLU Products hasn't made any promise as to when, however they have said the LIFE PURE mini will be getting an update in the future. The handset will be available in Matte Black and Polished White and selling for $249. As with other BLU Products devices, the LIFE PURE mini will be available with a variety of retailers. And in this case, the availability includes the US and Latin America.
