Hold on to your hats, folks, but the next phone out of the boxes of OnePlus could be its smallest yet. OnePlus has become synonymous to great specs at affordable prices, making it one of the best known companies out of China. The next phone might not be the OnePlus 3 just yet – but a smaller OnePlus 2, with flagship-level hardware. A new benchmark leak suggests a 4.6-inch handset might be in the pipeline.

Could this be a OnePlus 2 Mini? If you look at the benchmark leak of this unknown OnePlus phone, it packs a 4.6-inch FullHD (1080p) display, powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 13MP/5MP camera combo, running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Those are basically flagship level specs for 2015, if you don’t mind the small-ish screen.

It will be pretty handy and will fit in your pocket. The upside is that it will boast of prime power under the hood, even at such a small size. There is already a big market for a smaller, more handy phone, and with OnePlus’s international clout, this could be a hit.

So what say you? Are you convinced of a smaller OnePlus 2-level device? Is this effort going to be worth it for OnePlus? Or should they just concentrate on OnePlus 3?

  1. I’ve been waiting a long time for a small phone that doesn’t cut corners, but I’m not optimistic after seeing all the sacrifices they made on the OnePlus X
