We can thank the Amazon Kindle for all of the renewed interest in eReaders over the last year. The Kindle wasn’t the first eReader, but it certainly grabbed the attention of buyers and commands the majority of the reader market according to analysts.

Reports are coming in that Barnes & Noble is readying a new eReader to challenge the Kindle and that reader is reportedly running Android. The device is said to be wireless have a 6-inch touch screen, and a virtual keyboard.
CNET News reports that the eReader could be available as early as next month. The price range was not revealed, but it should be close to the Kindle’s price. Barnes & Noble recently launched its own digital book store so the time is ripe for its own reader.

Cool Beans!
:^)
What would be cool is if they could somehow create a phone screen that could switch to b/w greyscale "reader" mode
also on a side note, being that I work at a b&n we were asked to report customer questions so that anything can be addressed company wide since the product is so new.
I told the manager to ask why there is an iphone barnes and noble app and not an official android app, when their ereader runs off of the android os. so hopefully they will listen and we can get a new book reading app.
