iRig 2 now shipping with Android support

Back during CES in January, we got eyes on the new iRig 2 at the show. This is the updated version of the original iRig, which is a mobile guitar interface that allows you use your Android smartphone or tablet as an amplifier for playing on the go. One thing we didn't know about the iRig 2 during CES is exactly when it would ship.

Jide Remix 2-in-1 Tablet seeks hardware testing helpers

One of the Android devices that was first seen during CES 2015 was a tablet from Jide called the Remix 2-in-1. This tablet has the look of a Windows PC and runs a special version of Android called Remix OS. That OS brings the tablet user a taskbar and the ability to run apps in windows that can be resized on the fly. Like I said, it sounds and looks a lot like a Windows tablet.

LED Music Effect app gives you shiny lights

A new app update has turned up on Google Play that gives you something shiny to look at while you play your favorite music. The app is called LED Music Effect and requires root access to work. The app creates blinking LED lights with three colors while your music plays.

If you are the sort who likes to camp and spend lots of time outdoors, it can be a challenge to keep your mobile gadgets charged up so you can stay in touch. A new device has debuted called the Tegstove that can cook your meals and charge your gadgets while you are outdoors.

Buddhify aims to help you meditate

A new app has landed on Google Play that promises to help you meditate and get in the right mindset for just about anything you do. The app is called Buddhify and it has a wheel that lets you choose what you want to do. You can choose sleep, work break, walking, feeling stressed, or a number of other options.

Nintendo and DeNA to make Games for Mobile Platforms

Fans of Nintendo have been clamoring for a long time for Nintendo to bring its iconic game characters and properties to mobile devices. Just about every fan of Mario or Zelda would love to see those games come to smartphones and tablets to play on the go. Nintendo hasn’t developed games in the past for mobile platforms other than its own Nintendo DS and 3DS platforms.

Sick Bricks looks like a Lego game

If you are a fan of the blocky Lego video games, you might get a kick out of a new game called Sick Bricks. This game app has nothing to do with Lego officially, but we will all recognize the blocks as soon as you see the game. The story has players playing as Jack Justice as he tries to return Sick City back to its former glory.

Drone aircraft are becoming more and more popular for hobbyists to use for fun, photography, and other purposes. A new drone has surfaced called the LAB drone and it is designed to be a sort of living drone capable of expressing emotion on its face.

Samsung Xcover 3 smartphone is military tough

If you want a smartphone, but need something that can withstand the rigors of working out in the elements everyday or a very active outdoor lifestyle, Samsung has added a new device to its Xcover line. The new device is called the Xcover 3 and the smartphone meets MIL-STD 810G.
