SwiftKey knows about Android 4.2 issue and is working on it
One of the most popular keyboard apps on Android is SwiftKey. However, users with Nexus devices who upgrade to Android 4.2 might find that their installation of SwiftKey gets completely deleted upon upgrading. For some users, the keyboard only gets soft disabled, which is annoying, but not nearly as much as problem as the users who are finding the keyboard to be completely deleted.

Recently, Nokia posted a job listing seeking a Linux expert, and we all became excited that the cell phone giant would be crossing over to the Android side. Unfortunately, Nokia confirmed that the job listing is not related to the creation of an Android smartphone. Instead, Nokia is looking for the Linux expert to help them with HERE Maps.

Over the last few months, we've seen rumors coming and going about a cheaper version of the Nexus 7 tablet. After Google had its big media event where it announced all kinds of new stuff and the cheaper Nexus 7 was not announced, rumors on the device went pretty silent. Well, the rumors are back again, this time it comes from a GLbenchmark for a tablet called the "ME172V."

Google Play app revenue grows 17.9% while iOS shrinks
A new report from App Annie has come out, and with it, some interesting insights into the app market. The most interesting piece of information to come from the report is that while Apple may generate four times the revenue of Google Play, Play is growing at a much higher rate. In the last month, Apple's revenue has actually shrunk .7%, while Google Play has risen an astonishing 17.9% in the same period.

Barnes & Noble reports huge increase in Nook sales over Thanksgiving weekend
Amazon is not the only company seeing a huge increase in sales over the craziest shopping weekend of the year. In fact, Barnes & Noble is reporting that it sold double the amount of NOOK units over the Thanksgiving weekend. B&N says that NOOK sales "doubled over the four-day Black Friday weekend, across all channels, based on information provided by our channel partners on a sell-through basis compared to the similar period last year.”

Samsung and Peel partnered up to bring its remote app to many IR devices and now, they have announced that it is going global. Today's announcement starts the first phase of global rollout of the Peel Smart Remote app. Peel is bringing localized TV program information to over 20 countries and 13 languages across Europe and Southeast Asia.
