AT&T and Samsung announced the Galaxy Mega 6.3 earlier this morning. That handset will be arriving on August 23rd and it looks like it will not be arriving alone. Aside from the phablet-sized smartphone, AT&T has also announced the HTC One mini, which will arrive on August 23rd and priced at $99.99. And as we sometimes see with an AT&T release, the HTC One mini will be an exclusive.

AT&T has the One mini sitting as the “slimmer, more compact version” of the HTC One, a handset their “customers loved.” They are pushing this one as a device that is “pocket-friendly but packed with large experiences.” Those claims aside, what we know is that the HTC One mini will be arriving with a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 720p HD display, dual-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and rear-facing UltraPixel camera.

Similar to the regular-sized HTC One, users can expect some Sense related goodies including BlinkFeed, Zoe and BoomSound. BlinkFeed should make it quick and easy to get your favorite content and social updates throughout the day while Zoe brings your images to life and BoomSound will take advantage of the built-in amplifier, Beats Audio and dual-front-facing speakers.

Aside from the $99.99 two-year agreement pricing, AT&T will also have the handset available with the Next program. Those going this route can expect a monthly payment of $21 per month. And as we have seen, those going with Next will be able to upgrade after making 12 payments. You will need to trade-in your device at the time of upgrade, but you will also be able to remain free of upgrade fees, activation fees and down payments.

That all being said, those curious about how the HTC One mini stacks up may benefit from reading our earlier published review.
