Samsung unveiled the GALAXY S 4 Active earlier in the month and at the time it was said the handset would be coming to the US market sometime this summer. There wasn’t anything specific in terms of which carrier, however since then we have seen a rendered image leak which showed the Active with AT&T branding. AT&T has yet to offer an announcement, however it looks like that will be coming tomorrow.

The carrier has recently taken to Twitter and shared a video with a comment about how you should “never fear water again.” That video is just about a minute in length and shows a handset being dropped in water. The video is a bit vague on the specifics, but there does seem to be enough to confirm it as the GALAXY S 4 Active.

Of course the most important part is at the very end of the video. AT&T has said they will be revealing more on June 13th — as in tomorrow. This does bring bring an interesting topic as to where else we may end up seeing the GALAXY S 4 Active come available. It would be nice to see the handset arrive with multiple carriers like the regular GALAXY S 4, however with the AT&T exclusivity options we often see — we would not count on a widespread release.

Given what we have seen it looks like AT&T will make an announcement tomorrow. We just hope they choose to include a price and release date. In the meantime, the GALAXY S 4 Active has the IP67 certification which means it will be good in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The handset also has a new Aqua Mode in the camera app that should be ideal for shooting video and capturing images while playing in the water.

Aside from the few water related features and a slightly different exterior look, the specs should sound familiar. The GALAXY S 4 Active will launch with a 5-inch Full HD display, quad-core 1.9GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 2600 mAh battery, 2 megapixel front-facing camera and 13 megapixel rear-facing camera.
