AT&T Code Scanner App now available for Android

If you are on the AT&T network and have a hankering to be able to scan certain types of barcodes with your Android device a new app is available for you to download. The app is on the Android Market right now and can be had for Blackberry devices if you have more than one smartphone.

The app is called the AT&T Code Scanner and allows the user to snap a pic of a 2D or 1D barcode online, in a magazine, or other places and get more information the product or service tied to the barcode. Another service is available as well that goes along with the scanning app called AT&T Create-a-Code.

This software lets the AT&T user create their own barcodes that can be scanned and link those barcodes to all sorts of information. You can make a barcode that can be tied to things like a website or your Facebook page for instance.

Very nice, but there are absolutely no instructions with the atrix phone on how to use the scanner.  It is in the phone, but HOW do you turn it on?
