AT&T has come forward with details on the latest 4G LTE expansions. This time around we are seeing several new markets that have gone live this week. In total, new AT&T 4G LTE coverage is coming to 14 markets across 10 states. Those states include Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

As we often seen with these AT&T network expansions, most of these involve one new market per state. This time around is no exception to that and with that in mind — we are seeing coverage for Murray, Kentucky; Alexandria, Louisiana; Rolla, Missouri; Sandusky, Ohio; Morristown, Tennessee; Abilene, Texas and Logan, Utah.

Shifting over to the states that had a few new markets added and we are looking at Georgia with Vidalia and Waycross, Mississippi with Columbus and Yazoo City and North Carolina with Albermarle, Greenville and Morehead City. All said and done, if you happen to be in any of these locations now seems like as good a time as any to begin enjoying those new speeds.

Otherwise, looking back we saw an LTE status update from AT&T back towards the end of August. That update was not addressing any new markets, but instead giving a status update in terms of where they were and where they were expecting to be by years end. At the time AT&T had said coverage was available for more than 225 million people across 370 markets and that they would have it available for “nearly” 270 million people across “more than” 400 markets by the end of the year.
