AT&T cleared the 400 market milestone earlier in the month and it looks like they have recently flipped the 4G LTE switch for a handful of new markets. And in addition to some new coverage, AT&T also detailed some expansions for previously covered markets. The new coverage deals with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Texas and Washington and the expansions deal with Georgia and Minnesota.

Beginning first with the new coverage and we are seeing LTE go live for those in Selma, Alabama; Sebastian and Vero Beach, Florida, Cordele and Dublin, Georgia; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; Brenham, Texas and Port Angeles, Washington. The coverage for Mississippi includes a few markets; Brookhaven, McComb, Natchez (including Vidalia) and Picayune.

Shifting over to the expansions and we are seeing those as being in Georgia and Minnesota. The coverage for Georgia touches on Putnam and Greene counties including Northern Putnam County and portions of central and south Greene County. The coverage for Minnesota touches on Wright and Carver counties including Annandale, Buffalo and Delano in Wright County and Waconia and Young America in Carver County.

AT&T seems to be on a roll in terms of new LTE coverage. We appear to be seeing these rollout updates on a fairly regular basis at this point, but then again, it seems as if AT&T has their timeline all set. Looking back to the 400th market announcement and we learned how AT&T planned to have 4G LTE available for 270 million people by the end of 2013. And in comparison, that 400th market news brought word of coverage being available for nearly 240 million people.
