The ASUS ZenFone Zoom seems to be a crowd favorite that the company decided to bring it to India. That’s somehow expected though since India is an emerging market where mobile phones are really popular and widely used. Touted as the thinnest 3X optical zoom smartphone in the world today, the ZenFone Zoom is ideal for mobile photography obviously because of the impressive specs.

Making this ZenFone Zoom a winner is the imaging tech that consists of a 13MP PixelMaster rear camera and, PixelMaster front-facing camera, 3X Hoya lens in a revolutionary 10-element lens arrangement, up to 12X total magnification, laser autofocus, real tone flash, and built-in OIS. The smartphone is powered by a 2.3 GHz Intel Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3580 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, and PowerVR G6430. It features a 5.5-inch LCD capacitive screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution plus a 3000mAh battery and 4G/LTE connectivity. All these and more are packed in a super slim 5mm metal unibody form.

It’s currently the world’s thinnest optical-zoom handset that allows users to capture super crips images with vivid colors. Avid smartphone photographers will love that they can shoot in slower shutter speeds.

No word on exact pricing and availability yet but cost shouldn’t be far from the $399 model listed on B&H last week. So that should be around NR 27,000. Interestingly, a 128GB version is listed in Flipkart with a INR 37,999($560) price tag. So yes, this phone is definitely premium.
