One of the most anticipated Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets of the moment has finally had its North American launch detailed. The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer will land in the US and Canada on April 26, priced from $399 for the 16GB slate-only model.

The 32GB version will be $499, while the keyboard dock will be a further $149. The latter has an integrated battery that, together with the Eee Pad’s own battery, is good for up to 16hrs of continuous use.

Otherwise there’s the usual blend of Tegra 2, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, twin cameras and HDMI connectivity. The Eee Pad Transformer does distinguish itself with a brilliant IPS display, with excellent viewing angles.

  1. Asus is very good in price and quality in their products. I’ve read people say their support isn’t egreat but in all the products of theirs I’ve owned (motherboards, video cards, audio cards, n10j, eee slate, etc), I’ve never needed to use it.
