Behold! The Android music player revolution has begun, and it’s on ARCHOS. Here they present ARCHOS 28 and ARCHOS 32, both of them internet tablets that they say will revolutionize the world of MP3 and MP4 playing. Both of them have 8GB of storage (space for over 4,000 songs,) access to chat, games, and social networking, all of this in two convenient sizes. Firs there’s the 28 internet tablet measuring 3.9” x 2.1” x 0.35”, then there’s the 32 internet tablet measuring in at 4.1” x 2.1” x 0.3”. The smaller of the two costs $99.99 MSRP, the larger being right around $149.99 MSRP.

They’re pushing none other than your ol’ pal NAPSTER for a music application. Can you believe it? They say that these tiny tablets are open-platform MP3 players at comparable price ranges to MP3 players with closed platforms (I think you know who they’re talking about, right?) Inside you’ll find the ARCHOSE Music Cover Carrousel, what seems to be a simple app allowing you to browse through album covers for instant access (simple description, yes?) Another pre-loaded app is Ebuddy, some sort system for staying in touch with friends. They name call Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and note that you’ll be able to play 3D GAMES since inside you’ll find a built-in accelerometer and 3D open GL tech. Video playback is also included, as well as a camera? (“Photo fantastic’s can also easily capture their greatest memories and post them directly on their favorite social Media web site.”)

  3. That’s awesome. I currently have a 64 gig iPod Touch and can’t wait to get rid of it. Though I won’t be downgrading to 8 gigs, once a bigger android MP3 player comes out, I’m getting it. Good to see the start of the wave though.
