Angry Birds Hits 2 million downloads over the weekend
With it’s release on Friday, the popular mobile game Angry Birds hit over 1 million downloads within it’s first 24 hours – after crashing the GetJar servers. It looks like the game is standing strong in the download numbers just hitting it’s next milestone over the weekend, 2 million downloads.

The game marks a significant shift in mobile gaming taking the main focus away from iOS and Apple’s line of device. We are starting to see more and more developers shift focus from solely iOS and porting some of their most popular titles to the Android platform.
Angry birds is currently pegged as a ‘demo’ but developers are promising it’s the full title. A paid version is upcoming that will bring the game with no ads.
