We all love free apps, and although it’s great not having to pay for an application, the advertisements can certainly hinder the user experience. If you have opened up Angry Birds lately then you might have noticed a full length video ad before startup.

Android users were considered lucky to have their port of Angry Birds available for free, but after many annoying advertisements, that can break up gameplay, and now this, I’m sure many of us would be willing to drop the $.99 to just have an uninterrupted gameplay experience.

What do you think? Have you noticed these ads? Are they worth getting the whole game for free? Let us know in the comment section below!

  1. It’s very easy to completely eliminate the ads. Just put your phone in airplane mode, or turn off its wifi/3G connection, and the ads will no longer appear.

  2. Of course that assumes I don’t want to receive calls or texts while I’m cloistered with Angry Birds. If I’m simply using it to kill some time, that’s not necessarily a GOOD option. I am with the others, the ads are annoying, the video ads are annoying, I never watch or read ANY of them. Please, Rovio, just provide a paid option.

  3. You could always root your phone, install droidwall and blacklist the angry birds app from data connectivity.
This will eliminate ads but you will not loose data on the rest of your phone 🙂
